The “red” make the show !

Fishing was particularly difficult in France at the beginning of the year. The weather was hard: low temperatures and windy for a long long time. But sometimes, it was great: very sunny,  20°…
This weather changes were very difficult for the anglers the fish were destabilized, don’t eat and try to wait in the middle of the level water… Bad conditions !!!
At the end of March, I went to the east of France in a difficult and wild lake with a high depth with seagrass .  No fishs were captured by a good friend of me in one week.  I was not enjoyed and the weather announced cloudy, windy and rainy for 5 days, great…

When I arrived, I have 2 options: always moving or staying in a bay and wait… I’m not a “camping angler” so I put in tree different depth areas some crushy  red herring boilies and spicy mixed hemp  4 meters depth just after the windy bank, when the deep level change.

I moved 2 times a day: I only fished the no windy part during the journey with 2 rods and after I moved to the windy bank during the night. I made this 2 days and the second night, I had a run but…lost. So I put my four rod in front of the bank in a high depth of water and I decided to wait. My traps were made with green and brown weed effect associate with 15 lb contour unleaded, two with a shod rig associate with a big particles PVA bag  and the others with a classic monting on a snow man.
During the 2 next days, I catch two nice fish with a nice one  !!!!
GREAT !!!!  The year start well.

I really think that the red herring make the job in this cold water and bad conditions.
I just want to say: red herring, what else ?
Enjoy fishing
Jérôme.
